Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White 'Alaska' 2026 release

Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White 'Alaska' 2026 release

In March, we might be expecting one of the most beloved and sought-after releases of 2026: the Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White (V.A.A) 'Alaska'. While this sneaker was previously known as the Air Jordan 1 High x Off‑White ‘Alaska’, the model is officially labeled as the V.A.A. for Nike x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska.” V.A.A. stands for Virgil Abloh Archive and marks a new chapter in releases inspired by Virgil Abloh’s legacy. In this blog, we’ll explain everything you need to know about this white Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White 2026 release and how you can get your hands on a pair. Keep reading to secure yours!

What is Off-White?

The brand behind this collaboration is Off-White. For those unfamiliar, it’s a luxury streetwear label founded in 2012 by Virgil Abloh. The brand combines high fashion with street culture and is known for bold quotes, diagonal stripes, and the arrow logo. Off-White operates between streetwear and luxury fashion, presenting collections during fashion weeks in cities like Paris.

Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh was not only a fashion designer but also a cultural innovator. He founded the brand Off-White mentioned above and later became the creative director of Louis Vuitton. At Off-White, he revolutionized streetwear culture with his hoodies and shirts that became ubiquitous on the streets. In 2017, he debuted his collaboration with Nike, releasing the “The Ten” collection.

Which Off-White x Nike Releases Have We Seen?

As mentioned above, Virgil Abloh released “The Ten” collaboration in 2017, a collection that reinterpreted ten iconic Nike silhouettes. The project was split into two parts: the "REVEALING" pack and the "GHOSTING" pack. The "REVEALING" pack included the Off-White x Air Jordan 1, Nike Air Max 90, Air Presto, VaporMax, and Nike Blazer. The "GHOSTING" pack featured the Off-White Air Max 97, React Hyperdunk, Nike Air Force 1, Zoom Vaporfly, and Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star. Over the years, we have also seen numerous Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White releases.

Virgil Abloh Archive Instead of Off-White

What stands out in this release is the change on the inside of the sneaker. It now reads “V.A.A. for NIKE” instead of Off-White details. V.A.A. stands for Virgil Abloh Archive, a tribute to the designer’s legacy. This means that the ‘Alaska’ is not an official Off-White collaboration but an homage from the archive of the iconic designer.

True to the Creator

The design remains clearly faithful to Virgil Abloh’s signature style. The sneaker features the characteristic deconstructed paneling with visible layers stacked over each other. Of course, the iconic zip-tie is also present. The midsole sports the striking “AIR” branding, while the upper is executed in minimalist color blocking with white and icy tones, giving the sneaker a clean and fresh look. The sneaker clearly retains the DNA of the original Nike x Off-White 1 from 2018, while visually taking a new direction under the V.A.A. label.

Special Packaging

Alongside the sneaker itself, the special packaging has been unveiled, taking this release to the next level. The box has been completely redesigned, departing significantly from the classic Air Jordan 1 box. The design features circular cut-outs inspired by the “Lot 50” Dunk packaging, a clear nod to Virgil Abloh’s previous projects. Instead of opening traditionally from the top, the box opens from the side, offering a more premium, archive-worthy presentation.
